❋ SafetyWe must first feel safe in our body and environment in order to consider giving up control.
❋ ConnectionWe will notice the body and listen to it’s signals, rather than trying to ignore them or make them go away.
❋ PresenceOrienting to the present time and space can help the body acknowledge there is no danger.
❋ ReleaseFrom a grounded and connected space the body and mind can feel safe to release it’s attempts to control the future and learn to just be.

"I am comfortable being myself."
-
"I trust myself and my body."
How It Works-
How long have you been feeling this way? For how many years have you been thinking and responding with the same patterns? Breaking these cycles and learning new ways to interact can take time.
Initial relief can be immediate when starting therapy, and you may resolve your most pressing symptoms within a few months. Some people will be okay with that and move on until something else comes up, other people enjoy having someone to talk to consistently, to build a relationship with, and to get to the root of their issues to make lifelong changes.
Depending on your goals you can choose to work together for a few months or a few years.

First we’ll do a general check-in to see how you are doing and if there is a pressing concern you would like to address. Then we will get into the meat of addressing the main topic for that session, which may include doing a process to address trauma, or getting more information about your thoughts and feelings around an issue. Finally we will decide what “homework” you would like to work on between sessions.
